Each month, we’ll tackle high-impact topics designed to inspire action, spark innovation, and elevate care across disciplines. We’re launching the year in July by grounding our work in High Reliability in Action: Strategies for Safe & Reliable Healthcare, setting the foundation for a culture of consistent, sustainable safety. 
Then we’ll dive into: 
  • August – Bridging the Gaps: Strengthening Transitions of Care: Explore strategies for seamless, safe handoffs that protect patients during vulnerable moments. 
  • September – Sepsis Spotlight: Sustainable Improvements to Improve Outcomes: Be inspired by real-world sepsis care improvements from hospitals across Maryland, showcasing data-driven outcomes and frontline ingenuity. 
  • October – Health Equity in Action: Addressing Disparities & Improving Outcomes: Address disparities and learn how equitable care leads to safer outcomes for all. 
  • November & December – From Risk to Resilience: Addressing Hospital-Acquired Conditions: Engage with best practices that align with National Pressure Injury Prevention Month, ensuring patients stay safe and supported throughout their stay. 
Looking ahead to 2026, we’ll expand our focus to Perinatal Safety, Technology Optimization, Workplace Violence Prevention, and Medication Safety - delivering timely, relevant insights you can’t afford to miss.
It doesn't stop there! All Maryland Patient Safety Center programming from the 2024-2025 Medication Safety Series, Emergency Department Safety Series, and Perinatal Safety Series are available on-demand.
